Over a decade ago, God gave Julius Malone, the Pastor of New Testament Church of Milwaukee a vision for how the Church could transform the city of Milwaukee by targeting a focused area in the inner city an area where there is the greatest concentration of poverty, crime, violence, and homelessness. He called this area the Jericho area. And just as Joshua led the Israelites in a spiritual campaign against the fortified city of Jericho, God called Pastor Malone and New Testament Church, allied with a number of other fellowships to war against the strongholds in inner city Milwaukee.
Elder John Daily, from the New Testament Church of Milwaukee, accepted the call to Pastor a new church in the Jericho area, the New Testament Central City Church (NTCC). It started in July of 1998 in the Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School, and later moved to a dedicated building at 2400 W. Center Street. After 10 years, Pastor Daily and his wife, Vernita, were called to relocate in Mississippi. In July, 2008, Elder Michael Harden was appointed Pastor, supported by his wife, JoAnn, and confirmed by prayerful majority vote of the New Testament Church of Milwaukee Board of Elders, Pastor Malone, and the NTCC church membership.
